Originally discovered in 1981 as a part of the Jeanne d’Arc Basin exploration, the Hebron field is the fourth production field to be put online in the basin. Construction of the platform began in 2012 and completed in 2017. The field is estimated to have over 700 million barrels of recoverable hydrocarbons. The Hebron platform is rated to produce an average of 150,000 barrels a day for at least 30 years. This is the second largest field in the Jeanne d’Arc Basin and contains relatively heavy oil between 18 and 25 API. Hebron has been under maintenance since 2024 under BuildTech Engineering.
